RECONNAISSANCE
Adam steps over a long, yellow tube that snakes across the sidewalk and inside of an apartment building. It slithers across, past the doorman, and into the stairwell. The tube pulsates violently, breathing and beating, and hearts are being pumped through and packaged like merchandise. He continues walking while forgetting to breathe occasionally, a symptom of his anxiety disorder that prevents him from ordering meals or leaving his apartment building.
But this time, he is looking for someone.
He comes bearing gifts. There will be a wedding tomorrow. Tomorrow, there will also be a violent uprising in Burma where Angel Kyal Sin, a 19-year-old taekwondo instructor, will be shot and killed by police while protesting against the military junta's use of violence to suppress the movement.
